So this is the view of the Volcan Arenal from Parque Central here in La Fortuna. Taken yesterday, which was a beautiful clear day. Usually it's quite overcast, and you can't make out the peak. It's still a very active volcano but mostly puffs out little bursts of white smoke and steam, like an old man with his pipe. Sadly no spectacular displays of lava - yet! We're going to hike it (and hang out in the hot springs) next weekend.
I can't quite see it from my house, but I can as soon as I'm on my way to school.
